Byzantine Art

Byzantine Art describes works produced during the Byzantine period between the 4th to 15th Century, as well as works from the Eastern Orthodox states that were culturally influenced by the Byzantine empire.Byzantine Art is marked by a style which is somewhat abstract and symbolic, with most of its subjects being imperial or religious, influenced by the nature of Byzantine society at the time.
