High Renaissance Art

High Renaissance Art describes the peak of Italian Renaissance, centered in Rome, between 1475 to 1525. This period is considered to be an explosion of creative genius in art history. Works being produced during this period had a remarkably high amount of craftsmanship, utilizing techniques that defined subtle shades, tonality, light, perspective, and anatomical correctness. The leaders of this art period were Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael Sanzio, and Michelangelo.
